Frequently Asked Questions (Group Sessions)

What happens during a group session?

During a group session, attendees are introduced to a specific topic (for example: stress management, resilience etc ) and can be provided with practical tools and techniques that they may apply in their daily lives. The session also includes opportunities for attendees to ask questions and receive clarification. Towards the end of the session, a guided visualization is offered to help attendees relax, reflect and perhaps feel inspired. Overall, group sessions offer a supportive and interactive environment for individuals to learn and grow together.

What do I need to provide/prepare?

Most importantly, a place where the attendees can be comfortable. From our experience, we have found that a quiet area/room with supportive chairs have really helped everyone to feel relaxed. If possible, a projector, smart TV, or an interactive whiteboard as it enables information to be presented, which is particularly beneficial for visual learners. Some paper and a pen is useful for note-taking or for the more interactive sessions.

How do group sessions differ from individual sessions?

Group sessions allow more people to access information and techniques at any one time. It is more cost effective. Some people prefer to be in a group setting rather than be 'in the spotlight'. Our group sessions provide more of a learning enviroment with an opportunity of relaxing self-care, where there is no pressure to talk and divulge personal information. However, it should be noted that this is not the therapy that one would receive during an individual session as it is designed to be informative and relaxing.

Do you provide for any particular groups?

We work with a wide range of groups, such as school staff, office workers, parenting groups, women's groups, men's groups, LGBTQ+, young adults, GCSE students, college/university students, supervised/peer mental health support groups, and more.

How much does it cost?

Prices start from as little as £75.00 per session. Did you know that employees take around 18 days off a year to deal with stress, depression, or anxiety?* Taking into account hiring temporary staff to cover stress-related absences or helping more than one person at the same time, this is a small investment for the benefit of supporting the mental health and wellbeing of group members. Plus, there is strong evidence that workplaces with high levels of mental wellbeing are more productive. **

Are you able to provide individual employee sessions instead of a group session within the workplace?

Depending on availability, it is possible to be based at your office/venue/school for half-days or a few hours, so individuals can receive one-to-one sessions instead of in a group environment. Each individual will go through a similar process as our private clients, but with your support.
