Melissa Gilmore
My interest in how the mind affects behaviour started in my teens, when I had the habit of asking a lot of questions to gain insight into people. This led me to study Psychology and Sociology at A’ Level and Degree level. I put some of this knowledge to the test when I later qualified as a teacher.
After years of being a Teacher and Support Teacher in the U.K. and abroad; in private and in state schools, I witnessed a dramatic increase of emotional difficulties that both adults and children were experiencing. I felt a pull to use Psychology to help people in their everyday lives, but I was not clear in which direction to go.
Then, after a traumatic time of losing my beloved Mum and experiencing other major life changes, I had Counselling for Bereavement and Anxiety. My path became clearer and I went on to study Counselling Skills, then Hypnotherapy with Counselling Skills. I love being able to incorporate the many tools and techniques that I have studied and trained for, to guide people in using their inner power to heal and make the changes they want. I continue to study and research, in order to give the best that I can to my clients.
